Katie joined Rytech in April 2023 and has since become a driving force behind process improvement and operational efficiency across the franchise network. With a focus on dispatch and operations, she thrives on integrating technology and tools that make Rytech’s systems smoother and more effective.

“What excites me most is finding new ways to integrate technology and tools that make things smoother and more efficient,” Katie shares. “I also really enjoy connecting with Franchise owners, hearing their feedback, and turning those insights into real improvements.”

That commitment to collaboration and continuous improvement mirrors Rytech’s mission—to restore what matters most through innovation, compassion, and expertise guided by IICRC standards.

Leadership Through the Storm

Katie’s proudest moment so far? Navigating her first CAT (catastrophe) events with Rytech.

“There was a ton of planning and prep leading up to the storms, but nothing truly prepares you for the real thing,” she says. “It was an all-hands-on-deck moment, and I’m proud of how our team showed up—resilient, focused, and ready to support each other.”

Under her leadership, the Contact Center coordinated countless calls, dispatches, and responses—ensuring that homeowners and business owners got immediate, reliable support during their most stressful moments. That level of coordination underscores Rytech’s reputation as the trusted name in water, fire, and mold restoration.

Culture, Teamwork, and Daily Life

Katie describes Rytech’s culture in three words: adaptable, thoughtful, and connected.
A typical day for her includes managing client SLAs, reviewing reports, and leading communication between teams—all while balancing the fast pace of restoration logistics.

“It’s the people,” she says, when asked what she enjoys most. “I get to work with a team full of kind, caring, and genuinely funny individuals who make even the busiest days better. It’s easy to show up and give your best when you’re surrounded by good energy.”

Beyond the Desk: Books, Music, and Family

Outside of work, Katie is an avid reader—28 books so far this year with a goal of 40—and a passionate music lover. She enjoys concerts, walks with her dog, and time with her 15-year-old son, Fritz. Their bond runs deep through a shared love of music and vinyl records.

“Our love language is music,” Katie says. “We share album recommendations and seek out vinyl records to listen to together. He brings me the most joy!”

Staying Grounded and Focused

When it comes to productivity, Katie believes in breaking big goals into small, manageable steps. She also credits music for keeping her motivated and focused during high-pressure days.

Her advice to new Rytech team members?

“Give yourself time to learn. Ask questions early and often. Stay open to feedback. Lean on your peers.”

And the best professional advice she’s ever received is something she lives by:

“Progress isn’t always immediate; patience, openness, and self-compassion are just as important as drive and ambition. To accept, not expect.”

“I hope to be happy in a purpose-driven life… maybe living in a coastal town in Maine, eating my weight in lobster rolls daily and having the feeling of contentment always.”
